"Super cute shop that smelled amazing! The lady at the counter was very kind and took the time to explain what each rice cake was and how to enjoy them. They just happened to have leftovers so we luckily got to try a few before picking, and they were all great! I'll be back for sure :)"

"I came across Korean Ricecakes & Tea House while searching for food in the area a while ago. The server was friendly and helpful in explaining to me their food as their menu is in Korean. In terms of food, I tried the rice cake with sesame filling. It was quite good: Rice cakes were chewy on the outside with sweet and strong sesame flavour on the inside. There were ~20 of them for $5. They had other flavours as well including red bean and mung bean, and different size/type of rice cakes and they are worth trying. I’d give them 8.5/10 for how unique this place is in Edmonton"

"I always pass by here and decided today is the day to try it. Definitely an authentic korean rice cake shop. They sell rice cakes used in stews, stir fry, etc., and rice cake desserts. Not too sweet, definitely homemade. The cute korean lady who worked at the front asked me if it was my first time. I was familiar with the produce, but I definitely asked for some recommendations. 10/10 recommendations, I got rice cakes covered in sesame seeds with red bean, honey and sugar rice cake balls, and mochi with red bean paste. I apologize, I am not knowlegable on the names of these desserts, but I loved the colourful rice cake balls and mochi the most. The menu is in korean, so I asked for help and she was very helpful. I would 100% recommend visiting here and trying their items! Definitely a new local favourite and wish I visited here sooner! I did transfer the produce into reusable containers and freezer bags for fridge storage."

"We came from out of town to look especially for Korean things that we don't have in our town. I was thrilled to discover a ricecake shop in Edmonton! The owner was so nice in explaining the various ricecakes I was interested in. I bought 2 trays and they were so fresh and soft and good. Korean ricecakes are totally unlike any North American food so they can't even compare. The flavors are subtle and not crazy sweet. I will definitely be back the next time I'm in Edmonton!"

"I was exploring some unique places and found this store on Google Maps. It was close to our hiking trail that day, so we decided to visit. The store had a wide variety of Korean tea sets and homemade traditional Korean rice cakes. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was our first time seeing these Korean rice cakes, which came in different styles and were made with various ingredients. They can be enjoyed as a dessert or snack with tea (similar to pairing coffee with cakes or pastries). I have also seen characters in Korean dramas giving these Korean rice cakes as gifts to their neighbors when they move into a new home or for a store opening. We ended up buying two sets of mixed flavor Korean rice cakes. One set had even more variety. The middle one was filled with red bean, the left had black sesame, and the right was sticky rice mixed with soy sauce and other seasonings, topped with red dates, chestnuts, walnuts, pine nuts, pumpkin seeds and raisins. It had both sweet and savory flavors, making it quite special and tasty. The other set included ingredients like red dates, red kidney beans, green beans and black beans, with a chewy and sticky texture. I thought the yellow one tasted better than the white one."
